FUTURES WE COULD NOT FORESEE

i’m thinking about this, but not like you’d think…

i’m driving down a seven-lane highway in the eastbay in an oversize van & traffic is thick & only moving like the exit lanes of a parking lot. it’s a drizzly saturday afternoon & we’re going to ikea from hayes valley. there is no freedom on the freeway anymore. none.

i’m listening to vinyl records in an old bricker in downtown san francisco, w/the volume peaked & albums stacked against the wall at 2 something in the morning. the player is feeding the speakers on my laptop through a usb cable, recording to mp3 as the songs hum.

just bring me a hoverboard.
