LES VENTS EPIQUESthe wind is gusting so fast onshore from the ocean that it blew over an 18-wheel truck on the richmond-san rafael bridge this morning. that is epic. even so, agencies kept running ferries through the bay long after they’d shut down bus service… which seems funny to me. everything is shut down now. the lights flickered in my office building twice during the morning (it’s completely out for some 500 thousand on the peninsula). i am still a sodden mess from walking 12 blocks through horizontal rain at 8:30 am. there were abandoned & broken umbrellas scattered through the streets like poor soldiers on a battlefield. still, it’s nice inside by the computer light. if only i was dry.
