HE, SHE, THE SEA & ME
two fantastic people came to s.francisco this weekend (one from oregon, the other from west hollywood) to sleep in my living room & keep eachother company. we walked everywhere & talked about everything while a pacific storm failed to fully form overhead. we stayed out late w/my lovely girlfriend & her wonderful sister friday nite fighting stangers for control of a jukebox. we woke up early to avoid parking tickets on my city streets. we discussed quantum physics over coffeecups, napped in a cold victorian living room & then went out for veggiegarlic pizza & pitchers of beer. we cozied up to a counter, eating donuts fresh from the fryer at one in the morning. we slept in sunday. we watched the fog somersault over the tops of buildings downtown from my sunny livingroom window. we looked at piles of polaroids & played songs on an acoustic guitar. we kicked through chinatown, through the bookstores of north beach & the empty alleyways of sunday skyscrapers. we peed at a starbucks & hopped a subway train to the mission. eventually we reached the other side of the weekend, renewed.
& then they flew away again.
