TRAGEDY + COMEDY = PEACE OF MIND
epic cities w/canyon streets like these echo day & night w/the sound of a thousand tragic things… you do not hear the wind, you hear sirens. you don’t fall asleep in silence, you sleep to sirens. you eat & drink, read & watch films, you shower & shave to sirens. & w/that in mind, i propose the following:
A CITY CLOWN BRIGADE
w/sirens blaring, the CCB would speed around downtown in brightly-colored firetrucks, stopping randomly to throw candy & party hats to unsuspecting city kids.
& so, whenever you’re caught pensive at the window listening to some nameless siren in the distance, you’d never be sure if someone was dying, or having the time of their life.
