cursive buildings - like the blue in the sea (written 2003)

rest awhile, you’re home now, dressed in old fatigue
there will be no surrender, there was no defeat…

all the heavy things i carry w/me fill an emptiness like blue in the sea
where i fell to come clean inside & landed in sheets
i swear that i came so close to feeling complete…

i let go of everything that tasted of old desire & whispers of fate
the past isn’t dead, it’s here, covered in sand
i know that i took more than from the hand…

i’m only a man, convinced of himself once more & never again.

OUT TONITE

I COULD SLEEP THROUGH A WORLD WAR
this camera died a spectacular death last summer. recently the hardware blinked back into existence, creating some sort of zombie camera. i can use it again…
but i don’t trust it anymore. (via vimeo)

OLD SONGS
my favorite space to place anxieties is w/in a chord sequence. it’s an ok habit, i think. this is an old song, old worries, new recording… i had completely forgotten about it until i realized a new one had a similar structure. (via vimeo)
